SAFETY MOD. 231

The Legislative Decree 231/2001 has introduced the Italian legal system, the regime of administrative responsibility, borne by companies and entities, for certain offences committed on their behalf or for their benefit, by individuals holding high positions, or their supervisors or by persons subject to their instructions.

In order to ensure the prevention of offences covered by the Decree, Siderurgica Fiorentina has adopted its own organisation, management and control model (MOG), and has appointed a Supervisory Board (SB) of elected members, which has autonomous powers of initiative and control, and is responsible for supervising the carrying-out of, and compliance with, the Model, and with its continuous updating. It is equipped with a code of ethics, that is an integral and essential part of the Model, a bill of moral rights and duties, which defines the socio-ethical responsibility of all those involved in the company.
